Season tickets are available on all commuter flows between one station and another which allow unlimited journeys between the points on the ticket, often over a variety of routes.
Season tickets can be purchased for periods of one week (seven days), one month, and then any period of months and days up to a year. The seven day (7D) price is the one used for calculating the price of longer period seasons. The monthly ticket, for example, is based on 3.84 of the weekly price.
Annual season tickets are priced on 40 weeks of travel, working on the assumption that people will have holidays and perhaps periods of sickness during the validity of an annual ticket.
If buying a season ticket for over 10.5 months, you might as well have an annual ticket and get the benefit of the bonus weeks. Many employers will pay for a season ticket, or grant a loan to an employee to purchase one, and we will accept payment from individuals or corporate clients. Should you need a refund of a season ticket of more than a month, this is based on the time unused from when the season ticket is surrendered.
Chester-le-Track can issue season tickets anywhere in Great Brtiain, and if there is no season ticket price available, we can usually obtain one from the appropriate pricing managers of the rail companies. You will probebly find that for all likely commuter flows a season ticket price already exsits, and can then purchase one for whatever period suits you.
To hold a season ticket, you need a photocard which has a reference number with which the season ticket is issued. Only one picture is required. Once you have the photocard it can be used in conjunction with different tickets, e.g. if you change job location there is no need to get a different photocard.
We can issue season tickets by post if you wish.
Chester-le-Track is not able to issue London area seasons which are issued on an Oyster card.
