Welcome to the real railway station at Chester-le-Street in Co. Durham, England, the town where the Bible was first translated into English.
Chester-le-Track is a real railway station on the track (not the street) at Chester-le-Street, located on the A1 road and east coast main line from London to Edinburgh, some 260 miles north of London King's Cross.
GNER trains whizz through, but we are served by Virgin, First Trains and Northern Rail, for whom we act as agents at this independent station. We sell tickets for travel throughout the National Rail network, and season tickets too.
We are open week days 0730 to 1800 and from 0730 to 1300 on Saturdays, Bank Holidays, and between Christmas and New Year. We open especially early on Mondays at 0620 for our 200+ commuters to buy Season Tickets.
You can ring us on 0191 387 1387 during these times, and leave a message outside of office hours. You can fax us on 0191 387 3386, and internally within the rail network our BRT number is 03 82195.
Our National Location code is 7736, and we are a friendly bunch who like talking to other rail companies throughout the country, and indeed the world.
As well as being a real operational railway station, we run an internet business, with a range of railway, travel and leisure web domains, only about one-fifth are actually active at any one time.
You can consult the list and if you wish to rent names from us, diversions to your own website can often be arranged within minutes. Some names may only be available to particular businesses to avoid charges of passing off.
Since we are not "cybersquatters", we do not have a price list, and do not usually sell domains. We spent so long in early 1999 trying to get top people to wake up to the huge threat of domain registration by people unconnected with the rail industry and hotel industry that we eventually took action ourselves.
